O Instituto Geográfico e Histórico da Bahia promove na segunda-feira (28) de abril de 2025, às 17h, o lançamento do livro "1624 – Documentos Inéditos sobre a Invasão da Bahia" – Coleção Galícia, de autoria dos pesquisadores Arthur Watt Filho e Pablo Iglesias Magalhães.
Trata-se de uma transcrição dos documentos inéditos que foram encontrados durante pesquisa na coleção de manuscritos sobre a Bahia custodiados na francesa Biblioteca Gallica. Alguns documentos foram traduzidos para a linguagem mais moderna e receberam comentários por parte dos autores. Muitos desses documentos foram escritos no contexto da invasão, lançando nova luz sobre acontecimentos desconhecidos pela historiografia.
